EYRIAiG <br />AN OBDINANCS <br />TO PRDHIBIT NORMAN ATKINSON AND HrATRICE ATKINS4N, D.B.A. THE <br />SUSUABAN TRANSIT LINES., INC., AND/08 ALL PFRSONS, FIRN3, OA <br />Cf?BPDRATIONS PadGA(EU IN CA8RY7NG PAS.STATGBftS POR HIRE FAAM PICKIbtG <br />UP PASSENGERS IN THT YILLAG$ OF NORTH OIXSTED. <br />WHREAS the Yillage 6t North 0].agted is engaged in aperat- <br />ing a mmicipal transpcrtation line for a11 perscas dsairing such <br />service to and froa said Yillsge, and <br />WHEWAS the aaid Diorman Atkinson and Beatrice Atkinaon, <br />d.b.a. The Suburban Transit Lines, Inc., are picking up passengers <br />on thsir busses within the Village of North Olasted, rhich conflicts <br />with and interferes xith the cperation Af the mmicipal bus service. <br />NOW, THERMR,E, BE IT pRDAINED by the Council of the <br />Village of North Olmsted, Ohio: <br />Section 1. That Normau Atkinson and Beatrice Atkf.nson,, <br />d.b.a. The Suburban Transit Lines, Inc., or vnder sny other nane <br />xhatsoever, be and they are hsreby., prohibited frca pd;okiag _up - <br />pa?sengers or turnishing transportation t,o perBons g6ing out of or <br />eomit?g intc said Village on the busses operatsd by?said Alorman Atkin- <br />aon and Beatrice Atkinaon. <br />Section 2. And a11 person$, firms or corporations <br />engaged in carrying passengers for hira are hereby prohibited from <br />picking up paasengera in tbe Village of Nc>rth Olmted witbc>ut the <br />conaent of the Council of the Qillage of North 0]mted. <br />Section 3. Any violation of this ordinance shall be <br />a misdemeanor ar:d u}on conviction thereof sha11 be prmiehable by a <br />fine oP not tc> exceed $50.00. <br />Section 4. This ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emrgency msasure, the emergeucy being that it is necessary for <br />the immediate preservation of public health.. aafety,, welfare and con- <br />veaience and for the proper operatica of the mmieipal bus service of <br />the Yillage of North 0lmsted; and this ordinarice sha11 take eE'Pect and be <br />in force from and after its passage. <br />Passed: June 22, 1937, <br />E.
