' 07=Dec-1994 D R A F T T H R E E PIIBLIC TRANSPORTATION OPERATING AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of , 19 , by and between the CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, an Ohio Municipal Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the "City"), acting pursuant to Ordinance No. and the GREATER CLEVELAND REGIONAL TRANSIT ADTHORITY, an Ohio regional transit authority created .pursuant to Sections 306.30 through 306.54, 306.70 and 306.71 of the Ohio Revised Code (hereinafter referred to as the "Authority"), acting pursuant to Resolution No. TiIITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the Authority was established .for the purpose of providing public transportation services throughout Cuyahoga County, Ohio; WHEREAS, the City has a Public Transportation Department that is capable of providing regularly scheduled daily public transit service; WHEREAS, the Authority may enter into contracts with municipalities in order to exercise the powers granted to it pursuant to state statute; WHEREAS, the Authority recognizes that the City has operated a transportation system independently from 1931 to 1975 and in cooperation with the Authority from 1975 to the present. WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parties that the City provide certain public transit services on behalf of the Authority as set forth herein. WHEREAS, the City represents that its Department of Public Transporta- tion, lrnown as the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, is .fully willing and .able to satisfy the requirements of the Authority by performing the public transit service set forth herein.
