<br />' 07=Dec-1994 <br />D R A F T T H R E E <br />PIIBLIC TRANSPORTATION OPERATING AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of , <br />19 , by and between the CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, an Ohio Municipal Corporation <br />(hereinafter referred to as the "City"), acting pursuant to Ordinance No. <br />and the GREATER CLEVELAND REGIONAL TRANSIT ADTHORITY, an Ohio <br />regional transit authority created .pursuant to Sections 306.30 through 306.54, <br />306.70 and 306.71 of the Ohio Revised Code (hereinafter referred to as the <br />"Authority"), acting pursuant to Resolution No. <br />TiIITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, the Authority was established .for the purpose of providing <br />public transportation services throughout Cuyahoga County, Ohio; <br />WHEREAS, the City has a Public Transportation Department that is capable <br />of providing regularly scheduled daily public transit service; <br />WHEREAS, the Authority may enter into contracts with municipalities in <br />order to exercise the powers granted to it pursuant to state statute; <br />WHEREAS, the Authority recognizes that the City has operated a <br />transportation system independently from 1931 to 1975 and in cooperation with <br />the Authority from 1975 to the present. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parties that the City provide certain <br />public transit services on behalf of the Authority as set forth herein. <br />WHEREAS, the City represents that its Department of Public Transporta- <br />tion, lrnown as the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, is .fully willing and <br />.able to satisfy the requirements of the Authority by performing the public <br />transit service set forth herein. <br />
