<br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 94- 176 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE NORTH OLMSTID F.O.P., OHIO LABOR COUNCIL, WHICH AGREEMENT <br />IS THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE <br />NORTH OLMSTID POLICE DEPARTMENT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEItF~A.S, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted legislation <br />calling for Collective Bargaining Agreements with public employees; and <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department through the North Olmsted F.O.P., Ohio Labor <br />Council has been recognized as the exclusive bargaining agent for the Police <br />Department; and <br />WHF;RFAS, the Administration has bargained with the members of the Police <br />Department and concluded that bargaining with an agreement which is satisfactory to <br />the administration; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into <br />the Collective Bargaining Agreement which has been negotiated by the administration. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which was negotiated with the North Olmsted <br />F.O.P., Ohio Labor Council, a copy of which Agreement is attached hereto and made a <br />part hereof and marked "Exhibit A". <br />Section 2: That the effective date of any and all wage and fringe benefits <br />specified in said Agreement shall be January 1, 1995 through December 31, 1997. <br />Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be and the same hereby is declared to be <br />an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, <br />health, safety and welfare of this City and for the further reason that it is <br />immediately necessary to provide for continuity of services for the year 1995 and <br />thereafter; wherefore, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br />immediately after its passage and//approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSID:~ Gz~.
