_. <br /> <br />.-ff. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-156 <br />BY.• THE MAYOR AND ENTIRE CITY COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22, 1994 AS <br />"MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY" AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, thousands of Americans volunteer their time to benefit the <br />less fortunate residents in their communities; and <br />WHEREAS, our community of North Olmsted possesses the spirit of <br />caring and compassion for others; and <br />WHEREAS, USA Weekend is sponsoring its fourth annual MAKE A <br />DIFFERENCE DAY on Saturday, October 22, 1994; and <br />WHEREAS, as a community, we can celebrate that day by donating a <br />portion of our time to help a group, agency or a person; and <br />WHEREAS, it is only through the efforts of individuals working together <br />that we can address the problems of our society. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That it is the intention of this community to MAKE A <br />DIFFERENCE every day. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare and further provided it receives an affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
