SECTION 3: That the Director of Law be and he is hereby ordered to prepaze a <br />notice which is to be mailed to each resident within the City explaining the change in the <br />status of the law regarding home solicitation and is to include therein, with explanation, the <br />resident prohibition notice specified in Section 721.03 (D) of this ordinance. <br />SECTION 4: That this Council does hereby appropriate sufficient funds to <br />accomplish the notice and mailing requirements specified in Section 3 hereof. <br />SECTION S: That this ordinance is hereby declazed to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, and welfaze, and for <br />the further reason that it is immediately necessary to better protect resident consumers as <br />well as the business community from transient vendor and commercial solicitation activity, <br />and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />PASSED ~~~~~ ~~~~ <br />ATTEST.• <br />GL~iI~.~-CL zrt-cr~n-~ <br />BARBARA SE , <br />~CI,ERK OF COUNCIL <br />Approved as to form: <br />MICHAEL R.
