CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0.94 -143 BY: COUNCILMAN MUSIAL AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO PROVIDE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM AT THE INTERSECTION OF RINI'S N0.2 DRIVE AND GREAT NORTHERN BOULEVARD AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Council and the Administration have determined that it is in the best interest of public safety to install a traffic signal system at the intersection of Rini's No. 2 Drive and Great Northern Boulevard (approximately midway between Lorain and Brookpark Roads). WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council and Administration to amend the traffic control file to provide for the installation of said traffic control signal system; and WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic Control File, which said file can be amended only by Ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and it is hereby authorized and directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate therein the installation of a traffic signal system as aforesaid. SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to have the proper department cause said traffic sign system to be installed in accordance with the terms of this Ordinance. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to correct a traffic problem which exists at said intersection and further provided it received the affirmative vote of two- thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
