<br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.94 -143 <br />BY: COUNCILMAN MUSIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO PROVIDE FOR THE INSTALLATION <br />OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM AT THE INTERSECTION OF RINI'S N0.2 <br />DRIVE AND GREAT NORTHERN BOULEVARD AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council and the Administration have determined that it is in the best <br />interest of public safety to install a traffic signal system at the intersection of Rini's No. 2 <br />Drive and Great Northern Boulevard (approximately midway between Lorain and <br />Brookpark Roads). <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council and Administration to amend the traffic <br />control file to provide for the installation of said traffic control signal system; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic <br />Control File, which said file can be amended only by Ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and it is hereby authorized and directed to <br />amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate therein the <br />installation of a traffic signal system as aforesaid. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to have the proper <br />department cause said traffic sign system to be installed in accordance with the terms of <br />this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to correct a traffic problem which <br />exists at said intersection and further provided it received the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
