CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.94 -142 <br />BY: COUNCILMAN NASHAR <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF <br />"NO STOPPING OR STANDING SIGNS" ON BUTTERNUT RIDGE ROAD <br />FROM 26533 BUTTERNUT RIDGE ROAD EAST TO THE BRIDGE OVER <br />I-480 WITH SAID SIGNS PLACED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF BUTTERNUT <br />RIDGE ROAD AND DECLARING THE SAME TO BE AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the safety, health <br />and welfare of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted to install "No Stopping or <br />Standing" signs on Butternut Ridge Road to prohibit parking on the south side of <br />Butternut Ridge Road from 26533 Butternut Ridge Road east to the Butternut Ridge <br />Road bridge over I-480: <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic <br />Control File, which said file can be amended only by Ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized and <br />directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate <br />thereon the installation of "No Stopping or Standing" signs on Butternut Ridge Road to <br />prohibit stopping or standing of vehicles on Butternut Ridge Road as aforesaid; <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause said <br />"No Stopping or Standing" signs to be installed in accordance with the provisions of this <br />Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to eliminate traffic congestion <br />which impacts on the health, safety and welfare of the residents, and further, provided <br />that it receives the affirmative vote oftwo-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
