CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 94-111 <br />By: Councilman Dean McKay <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING A NEW CHAPTER 957 OF <br />THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED ENTITLED "SALE AND CONSUMPTION OF <br />ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN PUBLIC BUILDINGS AND <br />ON PUBLIC GROUNDS," AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, Council for the City of North Olmsted deems it necessary to review <br />the current policy regulating the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages; and <br />WHEREAS, Council for the City of North Olmsted is of the belief that it is <br />inappropriate to regulate the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages in any public <br />housing which the City owns or to prohibit the sale and consumption of alcoholic <br />beverages at the Springvale Country Club, which facility the City is currently in the <br />process of acquiring; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OffiO: <br />SECTION 1: That there is hereby established a new Chapter 957 of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled "Sale and Consumption of Alcoholic <br />Beverages in Public Buildings and on Public Grounds," which shall read as follows: <br />Chapter 957 <br />Sale and Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages in Public Buildings <br />and on Public Grounds <br />957.01(a) The sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages shall be permitted <br />despite the provisions of North Olmsted Codified Ordinance 529.09 prohibiting such sale <br />and consumption, only under the following specific circumstances: <br />(1.) The prohibition ofpossession, use, sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages <br />in public buildings or on public grounds shall not apply to municipally owned golf courses, <br />dance halls or parry centers. <br />
