..~..._.~~ M.~w~.., ...,_. . ~- CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 94-109 By: George Nashar ~~~~ ,~ - ~ti~ ~~~~~ ~`~~~ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A "NO RIGHT TURN ON RED FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 6:00 P.M." SIGN AT THE INTERSECTION OF LORAIN AND BARYON ROADS REGULATING TRAFFIC TRAVELLING IN A WESTERLY DIRECTION, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted to prohibit the turning on red at Lorain Road westbound where the same intersects with Barton Road northbound, between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M.; and WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic Control File, which said file can be amended only by ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized and directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate the installation of a "No Right Turn on Red Between the Hours of 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M." sign at the intersection of Lorain and Barton Roads, as aforesaid. SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized and directed to cause said "No Turn on Red Between the Hours of 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M." sign to be installed in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. SECTION 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall go into immediate force and effect upon its signing by the mayor.
