e~.~_:_~U~ ,~~.» __ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.94-101 <br />BY: Councilman Dean McKay <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING FOR THE PROHIBITION OF TRUCK <br />TRAFFIC ON A PORTION OF COUNTRY CLUB BOULEVARD, AS <br />AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, a portion of Country Club Boulevard between Victoria Lane and Lorain <br />Road is residential in nature, and other routes exist to serve adjacent commercial property; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this Council is of the opinion that it would be in the best interest of the <br />public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the City to restrict truck traffic on said <br />street from and after a point where the first cut-through provides access to Great Northern <br />Shopping Center; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic <br />Control File, which said file can be amended only by Ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized and <br />directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate <br />thereon the installation of traffic signs prohibiting truck traffic for vehicles traveling on <br />Country Club Boulevard, in both directions, from a point after the first cut-through <br />servicing Great Northern Shopping Center to Victoria Lane, when said trucks are in <br />excess of 5 ton gross weight. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause said <br />traffic signs, as aforesaid, to be installed in accordance with the provisions of this <br />Ordinance. <br />
