CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 94-95 BY: Mayor Edwazd Boyle AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A NEW AND REVISED CHAPTER 1138 OF THE NORTH OLMSTED ZONING CODE ENTITLED "SENIOR RESIDENCE DISTRICT" (SR), AS AMENDED. WHEREAS, the current chapter 1138 of the Planning and Zoning Code for the City of North Olmsted is too restrictive and thus inadequately serves the senior citizen population, Mayor Edwazd Boyle has proposed a new and revised Chapter 1138 entitled "Senior Residence District" (SR) to be adopted into the zoning code for the City of North Olmsted; and WHEREAS, within the City of North Olmsted there is currently a substantial lack of suitable housing arrangements for elderly citizens creating unnecessary hazdships as well as threats to the health, safety and welfaze of elderly citizens within North Olmsted; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of North Olmsted to include within the scope of its plans and policies for future growth and development, the unique physical facilities required for a quality standazd of living for senior citizens; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to implement the recommendations as aforesaid by adopting a new and revised Chapter 1138 of the Planning and Zoning Code; and WHEREAS, after careful a consideration, the Planning Commission of the City, on the day of `~, recommended approval of the new and revised Chapter 1138 of the Planning and Zoning Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That there is hereby adopted a new and revised Chapter 1138 of the Planning and Zoning Code for the City of North Olmsted, which Chapter is attached hereto and is hereby made a part hereof, as if fully contained herein, and mazked exhibit "A". SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby directed to cause notice of a Public Hearing hereon to be given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of Article IV of the Charter of the City.
