,~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-74 <br />BY: DAVID LIND <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PERSONNEL AND <br />ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES TO SEEK SEALED BID PROPOSALS FOR <br />HOSPITALIZATION, MEDICAL-SURGICAL INSURANCE, INCLUDING STOP- <br />LOSS INSURANCE COVERAGE, THIRD PARTY ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES <br />AND BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to obtain competitive prices for said <br />hospital insurance coverage, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to obtain bid proposals for hospital <br />insurance coverage and stop-loss insurance. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Control met on July 24, 1992 and determined that proposals <br />for hospitalization coverage shall be by sealed bid. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Personnel and Administrative Services be and he is <br />hereby authorized to obtain sealed bid proposals for hospitalization, medical-surgical <br />insurance coverage, including stop-loss coverage and benefits for employees of the City <br />of North Olmsted, according to specifications now on file in his office, and that upon <br />approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract <br />and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and <br />for the further reason that the present insurance coverage with the Farley Corporation is <br />nearing expiration, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote oftwo-thirds of <br />all members of council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~ /9~~ <br />rte.-- ,~~~ 1~~--~~~ <br />BARBARA L.
