,- <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 94-72 <br />BY: MAYOR ED BOYLE <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION OF THE <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WI~REAS, the City is establishing a Central Dispatch program combining the dispatch <br />duties of Police Department calls and Fire Department emergency fire and rescue calls, to be <br />located in the existing Police dispatch area, and <br />WHEREAS, the Fire dispatchers were performing filing and administrative tasks as <br />needed and or directed, and their loss requires the addition of a Secretary II, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the organizational chart of the Fire Department of the City of North <br />Olmsted shall be constituted as follows: <br />a. That the organizational chart of the Fire Department and the personnel set forth in the <br />organizational chart shall consist of the Chief of the Fire Department, who shall be in charge of <br />the entire department. <br />b. The Fire Chief shall also be in charge of a general duty roster, which shall consist of one <br />Assistant Chief, four Captains, six Lieutenants, and thirty-six Firefighters. <br />c. The Fire Chief shall also be in charge of a Secretary I and Secretary II. <br />SECTION 2: That the organization of the Fire Department shall consist of not less than <br />twenty (20) nor more than thirty-three (33) sworn full-time employees who are certified <br />paramedics. <br />SECTION 3: That the salaries for all members of the Fire Department including <br />secretaries, shall be established either by contract or separate ordinance, which shall be approved <br />by City Council. <br />
