`""' CITY OF NORTH OIMSTID <br />ORDINANCE N0. 94- 24 <br />BY: Councilman Dean McKay <br />,,..~~,. <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR <br />AND ACCEPT BIDS FOR THE IMPROVEl~1T OF COE AVENUE A PORTION OF OAK <br />LANE, PALM DRIVE AND BIRCH LANE AS DETAILID IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO CONTRACT FOR SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted is desirous of improving <br />the pavement and sewers in Coe Avenue, a portion of Oak Lane, Palm Drive and <br />Birch Lane, and <br />WHEREAS, the necessary specifications, as prepared by the Engineering <br />Department of the City of North Olmsted, are on file, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter <br />into an agreement to construct said improvement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for the bids for the improvement of the pavement and <br />sewers in Coe Avenue, a portion of Oak Lane, Palm Drive and Birch Lane <br />according to specifications now on file in his office and that, upon approval by <br />the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and <br />execute same on behalf of the the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and further, provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED:~'~tF.~~.~ ~ ,~y~y <br />(~... ~7 <br />'° <br />AMES D.
