CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0.2010 - 3 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A ONE <br />YEAR EXTENSION OF THE AGREEMENT WITH SENIOR <br />TRANSPORTATION CONNECTION (STC) FOR THE PROVISION OF <br />MOTOR FUELS USED IN THE OPERATION OF TRANSIT BUS SERVICES. <br />WHEREAS, the Senior Transportation Connection (STC), operating in conjunction with the <br />North Olmsted Commission on Paratransit, provides community based transit services to the elderly <br />and the handicapped in North Olmsted and throughout southwestern Cuyahoga County; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 2008-38, the Senior Transportation Connection and the <br />City of North Olmsted entered into a two year Agreement providing that said transit buses would be <br />supplied motor fuels from the gasoline tanks owned and operated by the City of North Olmsted, <br />located on City property, with costs to be charged to the STC for providing such products; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council, acting on the recommendation of the Director of Public Service, <br />hereby authorizes the Mayor to enter into a one year extension of said Agreement, which is currently <br />scheduled to terminate on March 6, 2010; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted, to enter into a one year extension of the current agreement between the City of <br />North Olmsted and the Senior Transportation Connection, commencing March 6, 2010, <br />providing for the supply of motor fuels to STC at the City's gasoline pumps, with costs to STC, <br />in accordance with the terms and conditions of the current Agreement, with only such changes to <br />said Agreement that are acceptable to the Mayor and approved by the Director of Law as not <br />substantially adverse to the City. The character of any such change as not being substantially <br />adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the agreement by the <br />Mayor and its approval by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest <br />period allowed by law. <br />
