(e) Utility lines. All exterior utility lines for ground mounted solar energy systems shall <br />meet all applicable building and electric codes. <br />(~ Screenina. Ground mounted solar energy systems must be adequately screened from <br />view of any adjacent residential property by appropriate vegetative screening or solid <br />fencing. <br />(g) Glare. Solar panels shall be placed such that reflection angles from collector <br />surfaces shall be oriented away from neighboring windowti and roadways <br />1155.05 ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW. <br />(a) Procedure. A building permit shall be required for the installation of any solar energy <br />system. <br />(b) Submittal requirements. Each application for a solar energy system shall include the <br />following: <br />(1) Applicant's name, contact information and evidence of site control; <br />(2) Address, permanent parcel number and zoning district of the subject property; <br />(3) Site survey including property lines and physical dimensions of the property; <br />location, dimensions, and types of existing structures on the property; and <br />location of the proposed system showing required setbacks. <br />(4) Drawings and specifications including description of all components of the solar <br />energy system including the manufacturer, model, capacity, and dimensions, and <br />drawings which have been approved by a registered professional engineer for any <br />ground mounted solar energy system foundation. <br />(5) Any other information required by the City to determine if the standards in this <br />Chapter and other applicable codes have been met. <br />(c) Historic District. For any solar energy system proposed in a designated historic district, a <br />Certificate of Appropriateness shall be required in accordance with Chapter 165 prior to <br />and as a prerequisite of the administrative review process described herein. <br />(d) Ex iration. A permit issued pursuant to this ordinance shall expire if the system is not <br />installed within 12-months from the date the permit is issued. A permit extension of up <br />to 6-months may be granted by the Building Commissioner. <br />2 <br />
