SECTION 1. Pursuant to Article XVIII, Sections 9 of the Ohio Constitution, and Article <br />XII of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted, this Council authorizes and directs that the <br />following proposal to amend the Charter of the City of North Olmsted be submitted to the electors <br />of the City of North Olmsted at municipal election to be held at the usual places of voting in the <br />City on Tuesday, May 4, 2010: <br />That Article V, Sections 1, 4, 5 and 6 of the Charter be amended to read as follows: <br />ARTICLE V <br />ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS AND DEPARTMENTS <br />SEC. 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS. <br />A Department of Law; and a Department of Finance, <br />,are hereby <br />established, and the Council shall provided by ordinance for the organization thereof. The Council <br />may establish by ordinance new departments or divisions thereof. Except as to the two <br />departments ~ a;..:.,:°~° +''°"°"~established by the Charter, Council may combine or abolish <br />departments and divisions as it may deem necessary and may authorize one person to be the head <br />of two or more departments or divisions. All appointments and removals in the several <br />departments shall be made by the respective directors. <br />...
