CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0.2010 - 36 BY: Mayor Kennedy AN ORDINANCEAMENDING SECTIONI SS.OS OF THEADMINISTRATIVE CODE IN ORDER TO ELIMINATE THEADDITIONAL COMPENSATIONREQUIREMENT FOR THE SECRETARY OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION. WHEREAS, Section 155.05 establishes the position of Secretary to the Parks and Recreation Commission, to be appointed by the Commission from among its membership, and requires that Council further establish remuneration therefore; and WHEREAS, secretarial services are provided to the Parks and Recreation Commission by employees in the Division of Recreation, under the supervision of the Recreation Commissioner. The payment of additional remuneration to the Secretary of the Parks and Recreation Commission for such secretarial services is not necessary; and WHEREAS, the Administration submits that secretarial services for the Parks and Recreation Commission can be efficiently and economically delivered by employees of the Division of Recreation without additional remuneration to the Secretary of the Parks and Recreation Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That Section 155.05 of the Administrative Code which presently reads as follows: 155.05 APPOINTMENT AND DUTIES OF SECRETARY. The Parks and Recreation Commission shall also appoint one of its members, or someone else, to act as secretary. The Secretary of the Commission shall keep detailed minutes of all meetings, sending a copy of all minutes to the Clerk of Council and members of the Commission within ten days after each meeting, and shall perform such other duties as are designated by the Commission Chairman. Remuneration for the Secretary shall be established by Council. (Ord. 71- 160. SECTION 2: That the operation of any Ordinance, or part of any Ordinance in conflict or inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed.
