CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.2010 - 36 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />AN ORDINANCEAMENDING SECTIONI SS.OS OF THEADMINISTRATIVE CODE <br />IN ORDER TO ELIMINATE THEADDITIONAL COMPENSATIONREQUIREMENT <br />FOR THE SECRETARY OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION. <br />WHEREAS, Section 155.05 establishes the position of Secretary to the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission, to be appointed by the Commission from among its membership, and requires that <br />Council further establish remuneration therefore; and <br />WHEREAS, secretarial services are provided to the Parks and Recreation Commission by <br />employees in the Division of Recreation, under the supervision of the Recreation Commissioner. <br />The payment of additional remuneration to the Secretary of the Parks and Recreation Commission <br />for such secretarial services is not necessary; and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration submits that secretarial services for the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission can be efficiently and economically delivered by employees of the Division of <br />Recreation without additional remuneration to the Secretary of the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 155.05 of the Administrative Code which presently reads as <br />follows: <br />155.05 APPOINTMENT AND DUTIES OF SECRETARY. <br />The Parks and Recreation Commission shall also appoint one of its members, or someone <br />else, to act as secretary. The Secretary of the Commission shall keep detailed minutes of all <br />meetings, sending a copy of all minutes to the Clerk of Council and members of the Commission <br />within ten days after each meeting, and shall perform such other duties as are designated by the <br />Commission Chairman. Remuneration for the Secretary shall be established by Council. (Ord. 71- <br />160.
