CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0.2010 - 40 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ADVERTISE FOR <br />BIDS FOR CRACKSEALING ON VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY, AS <br />PER SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE SAME, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the bid specifications, as prepared by the City Engineer, are on file with the <br />City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to advertise for bids <br />for cracksealing on various streets in the City, and to further authorize the Mayor to enter into a <br />contract with the lowest and best bidder, after Board of Control approval; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for <br />cracksealing on various streets in the City of North Olmsted according to plans and specifications <br />on file and that the Mayor further is hereby authorized, upon approval of the Board of Control, to <br />enter into such a contract and execute same with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately in order to <br />preserve, protect and repair weather damaged streets at the earliest possible time that weather <br />permits; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~/~(~ ~, ~ t' C) <br />ATT T: <br />. ~.~ <br />MARIE GALLO <br />Clerk of Council <br />First Reading: ~ l~ ~l U <br />Second Reading: Q <br />Third Reading: <br />Committee: <br />UANE K IMPERT <br />President of Council <br />
