(1) Picnics. Picnics shall be permitted in designated areas. Large picnics, fifty or more, should first obtain a permit prior to holding function. (m) Camping. No person shall be permitted to use any park or recreation facilities for camping unless authorized to do so by the Director of Public Safety. (n) Slingshot; Bow and Arrow; Air Gun. No person shall use a slingshot, bow and arrow, or air gun within the public parks or recreation areas of the City, the use of which is prohibited by Section 549.10 of the General Offenses Code. (o) Golf. No person shall cause a golf ball to be propelled by hitting the same with a golf club within the public parks or recreation areas of the City. (p) Campfires and Cooking. Cooking fires shall only occur in permanent cooking amenities installed within the park by the City. No person shall permit any fire to be left unattended and must completely extinguish the fire before leaving the area. (q) Travelling Public Shows and Carnivals. To the contrary notwithstanding the adoption of Chapter 701 of the Business Regulation Code regulating travelling public shows and carnivals, no such activity regulated thereby shall be permitted in any public park within the City, with the exception that the annual carnival in North Olmsted Park which has heretofore been known as "Homecoming" and was heretofore sponsored by the Community Council will be permitted as per Chapter 701 of the Business Regulation Code, but shall not exceed four days in length of operation. (r) Bicycles Prohibited in Skate Park. No person shall operate, ride or otherwise possess or use a bicycle at the North Olmsted Skate Park. (s) Throwing or Shooting Missiles. No person shall throw, shoot or propel a missile, pellet, stone or other similar object within the public parks or recreation areas of the City, as is otherwise prohibited by Section 549.11 of the General Offenses Code. SECTION 2: That all ordinances, and parts of ordinances, inconsistent or in conflict with this Ordinance are, only to the extent of such inconsistency or conflict, repealed. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance take effect and be in force on and after the earliest period provided for by law. s
