CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.2010 -62 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ESTABLISHING CHAPTER 131 <br />OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ENTITLED "MAYOR" IN ORDER TO <br />PROVIDE FOR THE ORGANIZATION THEREOF, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, on May 4, 2010, the electors of the City of North Olmsted approved Issue <br />34 to amend the Charter of the City of North Olmsted, whereby all departments and divisions <br />there under, with the exception of the Department of Law and the Department of Finance, are to <br />be established by the Council via ordinance; and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration has analyzed the operations and structure of the <br />departments and divisions of the City and has determined that efficiency in operation and cost <br />savings can be achieved through the re-organization of the various departments and divisions; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Administration that the Office of Mayor <br />include a secretary, an administrative assistant, the Division of Recreation and the Division of <br />Springvale; and <br />WHEREAS, consistent with the recommendation of the Mayor, it is the desire of this <br />Council to reorganize the Mayor's Office by amending Chapter 131 of the Administrative Code. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Ordinances 2006-56 and 2006-134 (collectively known as <br />Administrative Code Chapter 131) shall be and remain in effect until July 31, 2010. As of <br />August 1, 2010 the authority granted to the Mayor, as amended herein, shall be in effect. <br />SECTION 2: That Chapter 131 "Mayor," which presently reads in its entirety as set <br />forth in Exhibit A, which is attached to this Ordinance and incorporated by reference as if fully <br />rewritten herein, shall be amended effective August 1, 2010, and, as amended, shall read in its <br />entirety as set forth in Exhibit B, which is likewise attached to this Ordinance and likewise <br />incorporated by reference as if fully rewritten herein. <br />SECTION 3: That any ordinance, or part of ordinance, in conflict or inconsistent with <br />this Ordinance, is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed. Conflicting or <br />inconsistent provisions of any Ordinance shall be corrected at re-codification. <br />
