Section 20: Vacation That all full-time personnel {fisted within this Ordinance shalt be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with Section 161.11 of the Administrative Code. All previous service as an elected city public official within the city shall be considered full-time for the purpose of calculating vacation and sick leave upon retirement, Effective April 17, 2010 through December 31, 2010 vacation, sell back for cash is prohibited. The prohibition of vacation sell back found in this paragraph shall be and remain in effect for the period of April 17, 2010 through December 31, 2011, whereupon as of January 1, 2012 it shall expire and be null, void and of na effect. Section 21: Attendance Bonus Days That all full-time personnel who do not use sick leave time for any calendar quarter (i.e., Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sep, or Oct-Dec), shall receive eight (8) hours of paid time off. In addition, full-time personnel who do not use sick leave time for any calendar half (i.e., Jan-Jun, or Ju1- Dec), shall receive an additional eight (8) hours of paid time off for each such calendar half. (This provision shall be construed so that employees may receive no more than a maximum of forty-eight (48} hours each calendar year.) Such attendance bonus days may be taken at a time mutually agreeable to the City and the employee and they must be taken within one year of the date they are earned. Up to one absence per year for attending a funeral may be used without affecting eligibility for bonus days. Section 22: Boot Allowance That the following full-time employees shall be reimbursed by the City in an amourit not to exceed $200 annually for the purchase or purchases of boots by such employees for use in their employment with the City of North Olmsted: Public Works Foremen; Fleet Manager; Waste Water Treatment Plant Superintendent; Waste Water Treatment Plant Assistant Superintendents (Plant and Collections); Waste Water Collection System Foreman; Laboratory Chemist; and Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor. Said full-time employees shall be entitled to receive such reimbursement in any year by presenting to the Finance Department, no later than by the 15th day of June of that year, receipts which document his or her expenditure or expenditures, during the immediately preceding one year period, for the purchase of such boots. Upon timely submittal of such documentation to the Finance Department no later than by the 15th day of June of any year, the City shall reimburse such employee at the next pay day that falls in the month of Juiy. Section 23: Electronic Deposit All forms of compensation shall be paid by electronic deposit to commence at the City's convenience, but not less than thirty {30) days after adoption of this ordinance. Section 25: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to bean emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of this City; and for the further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to begin seasonal and other timely and pertinent part-time hiring; and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the members of this Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its approval by the Mayor.
