. . r <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2010 - 109 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />THREE (3) YEAR CONTRACT WITH GREAT LAKES PUBLISHING <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF PUBLISHING AND DISTRIBUTING AN <br />ANNUAL MAGAZINE ABOUT THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO <br />NORTH OLMSTED RESIDENTS. <br />WHEREAS, in the past the City of North Olmsted has participated financially in <br />publishing and / or distributing an annual magazine which includes North Olmsted business <br />advertisements as well as articles about community events, businesses and people within the <br />City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, the cost to the City of North Olmsted associated with such magazine are <br />limited to postage; and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration believes that City participation in the promotion of <br />North Olmsted businesses is important to the City generally and further believes that the <br />distribution of articles about the City and its people fosters community pride and enhances the <br />standing of the community; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Mayor that the City enter into a three (3) <br />year contract with Great Lakes Publishing to author, market, publish and distribute a 2011 <br />North Olmsted Magazine; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council, acting upon the <br />recommendation of the Mayor, to authorize the Mayor to enter into a three (3) year contract <br />with Great Lakes Publishing. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a three (3) <br />year contract with Great Lakes Publishing to author, market, publish and distribute a 2011 <br />North Olmsted Magazine. Said contract shall be in substantially the same form and substance <br />as the contract attached hereto as Exhibit A, with only such changes thereto as are not <br />substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of Law. The <br />character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced <br />conclusively by the execution of the agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the <br />agreement by the Director of Law.
