CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2010 - 152 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 131.99 OF CHAPTER 139 OF <br />THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ENTITLED "MAYOR" IN ORDER TO <br />CREATE THE PART TIME / SEASONAL POSITIDN OF SUPPORT <br />PERSONNEL WITHIN THE OFFICE OF MAYOR, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance 2010-62 (effective August 1, 2010) amended and re-established <br />the organization of the Office of Mayor and the divisions within that Office; and <br />WHEREAS, with the newly-canstituted office of Mayor now operating, it has been <br />determined by the Mayor that additional part tim.e / seasonal staff within the office of Mayor will <br />allow for a more effective and efficient operation; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Mayor that the Office of Mayor be further <br />comprised of part time / seasonal support personnel; and <br />WHEREAS, consistent with the recommendation of the Mayor, it is the desire of this <br />Council to amend the employee positions found within section 131.99 "Staff and Organizational <br />Chart for the Office of Mayor" by amending Chapter 131 of the Administrative Code. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Chapter 131.99 "Staff and Organizational Chart for the Office of <br />Mayor" which presently reads in its entirety as set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached to this <br />Ordinance and incorporated by reference as if fully rewritten herein, shall be amended and, as <br />amended (and re-titled), shall read in its entirety as set forth in Exhibit B, which is likewise <br />attached to this Ordinance and likewise incorporated by reference as if fully rewritten herein. <br />SECTION 2: That any ordinance, or part of ordinance, in conflict or inconsistent with <br />this Ordinance, is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed. Conflicting or <br />inconsistent provisions of any Ordinance shall be corrected at re-codification. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this Ordinance go into effect immediately so as to reflect <br />the allocation of responsibility within the Office of Mayor and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
