CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0.2006 - 90 <br />By: Mayor Thomas E. O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE (3) FORD <br />F-550'S AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE <br />LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR SAID VEHICLES, AFTER BOARD OF <br />CONTROL APPROVAL, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Public Service has advised this Council that it is <br />necessary to purchase three (3) Ford F-550's; and <br />WHEREAS, the necessary specifications for said vehicles, as prepared under the <br />direction of the Service Department of the City of North Olmsted, are on file in the Service <br />Director's Office; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for three (3) Ford F-550's, and to further authorize the Mayor to enter into a <br />contract with the lowest and best bidder to purchase said vehicles, after Board of Control <br />approval; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for three (3) Ford F-550's in accordance with the specifications now on file in <br />the Service Director's Office, and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor <br />is authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted <br />with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately in order to insure <br />availability, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />
