Ch.1303 <br />Smoke detectors -see FIRE PREY. 1701.13 <br />1305.01 PURPOSE AND ADOPTION. <br />There is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference as if set out at length herein, for <br />the purposes of establishing rules and regulations for the erection, construction, enlargement, <br />alteration, repair, improvement, removal, conversion, demolition, equipment, use, occupancy or <br />maintenance of one, two and three-family dwelling houses which are not constructed of <br />industrialized units, and their accessory structures, that certain code known as the Ohio <br />Residential Code for One, Two and Three Family Dwellings, 1999 edition, based on the <br />International One and Two Family Dwelling Code, 1998 edition, published as a nationally <br />recognized model code by International Code Council, Inc. The One and Two Family Dwelling <br />Code shall be enforced in conjunction with such provisions of the ICC Building Code adopted <br />under Section 1301.01 as are applicable to one, two and three-family dwellings. <br />(Ord. 2002-32. Passed 3-19-02.) <br />1305.02 FILE AND DISTRIBUTION COPIES. <br />Copies of the Dwelling Code adopted under Section 1305.01 are on file with the Clerk of <br />Council for inspection by the public and in the County Law Library. <br />(Ord. 2002-32. Passed 3-19-02.) <br />1305.03 CONFLICT. <br />Except as otherwise specifically provided for in this chapter, in all other cases of conflict <br />between the One and Two Family Dwelling Code and any other City ordinance or technical code <br />adopted thereby, the more restrictive provision shall govern. <br />(Ord. 97-27. Passed 6-17-97.) <br />1305.04 DEFINITIONS AND AMENDMENTS. <br />(a) Definitions. Wherever titles, words and phrases are used in portions of the One <br />and Two-Family Dwelling Code herein adopted, such terms shall be construed to mean the <br />equivalent officer, word or phrase applicable to the City. "Building Official" as used in such <br />Code, means the Building Commissioner of the City. <br />(b) Amendments. The One and Two-Family Dwelling Code adopted herein is <br />hereby modified in the manner respectively indicated: <br />(1) Sec. 103-Scope (Amended The provisions of this code apply to the <br />construction, alteration, repair, use, occupancy and maintenance of <br />detached one, two and three-family dwellings and their accessory <br />structures.
