CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006 - 77 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A FY2006 COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") FROM CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY PROVIDING FUNDING FOR ADA IMPROVEMENTS <br />TO NORTH OLMSTED PARK, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />SETTING FORTH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE <br />GRANT, AND DECLARING AN EMER GENCY. <br />WHEREAS, on November 1, 2005, this Council adopted Resolution No. 2005-145, <br />authorizing and directing the Director of Planning to make application on behalf of the City <br />for Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funding for ADA improvements to <br />North Olmsted Park; and <br />WHEREAS, on or about March 2, 2006, the Cuyahoga County Department of <br />Development announced that an award in the amount of One Hundred Twelve Thousand <br />Dollars ($112,000.00) had been made to the City of North Olmsted for funding for said ADA <br />improvements at North Olmsted Park; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into a <br />contract with Cuyahoga County providing for the terms and conditions upon which the said <br />award of funding will be made to the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted accepts the FY2006 Community <br />Development Block Grant ("CDBG") in the amount of One Hundred Twelve Thousand <br />Dollars ($112,000.00) for funding for ADA improvements at the North Olmsted Park, and <br />authorizes the Mayor to enter into a contract with Cuyahoga County providing for the terms <br />and conditions of the said grant. Said contract shall be in a form and substance that is not <br />substantially adverse to the City and which is approved by the Director of Law. The character <br />of the contract as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively <br />by the execution of the agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the agreement by the <br />Director of Law. <br />
