Resolution No. 2006-75 <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor and this Council support the preservation of the <br />Community Development Block Grant Program at HUD and request that funding for the <br />Program in FY 2006 be maintained at the same level appropriated in FY 2005. <br />SECTION 2: Further, that the Mayor and this Council hereby express their strong <br />opposition to the President's "Strengthening America's Communities Initiative." <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measatre <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately due to <br />this issue being time sensitive; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote oftwo-thirds <br />of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: 02~ ~.QD,6 First Reading: 3-3/ 6L <br />Second Reading.• <br />Third Reading: ~~ <br />Committee: ~ ~,~ <br />ATT <br />~ ~~-~ , <br />B BABA L.
