CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006 - 68 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS FOR THE <br />PROPOSED FIRE STATION NO. 2, FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />ENTER INTO CONTRACTS WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDERS, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMER GENCY. <br />WHEREAS, plans and specifications have been prepared for the construction contracts for the <br />proposed Fire Station No. 2, and are on file in the office of the Director of Public Service; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for the construction contracts for the proposed Fire Station No. 2 in accordance with <br />said plans and specifications on file, and to further authorize the Mayor to enter into contracts, following <br />approval by the Board of Control, with the lowest and best bidders; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to advertise <br />for bids for the construction contracts for the proposed Fire Station No. 2, in accordance with the plans <br />and specifications now on file in the office of the Director of Public Service, and further that, upon <br />approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is authorized to enter into contracts and execute the same on <br />behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidders. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further for the reason that it is <br />necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately in order to meet deadlines necessary for <br />beginning construction in the Spring, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of <br />all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~Y ~...
