The City Prosecutor shall act on behalf of the City or the State of Ohio <br />in the prosecution of felony and misdemeanor offenses occurring in the City of North Olmsted, <br />and shall perform such other duties as are required by law of municipal prosecutors. <br />(d) The Legal Secretary shall be a full-time position and shall be considered the secretary <br />to the Director of Law. <br />(e) The City Law Clerks shall assist the Director of Law, and, at the direction of the <br />Director of Law, may also assist the City Prosecutor. The City Law Clerks shall be paid on an <br />hourly basis. <br />BE AMENDED, AND, AS AMENDED, SHALL READ AS FOLLOWS: <br />137.01 COMPOSITION <br />(a) The Law Department of the City, as provided for in Article V, Section 2 of the City <br />Charter, shall be headed by the Director of Law. The employees of the Department shall consist <br />of true three assistant directors of law, a legal secretary and tie three law clerks, all of whom <br />shall be appointed by and under the supervision of the Director of Law. Each of the assistant <br />directors of law shall be an attorney in good standing with the Ohio Supreme Court and licensed <br />to practice law in the State of Ohio. The law clerks shall be law students at an accredited law <br />school, or graduates from an accredited law school. <br />(b) Two of the assistant directors of law shall be known as, respectively, the <br />Assistant Director of Law -Full Time, and the Assistant Director of Law -Part Time. 8rte <br />e-}~e~ien. These Assistant Directors of Law shall primarily assist the Director of Law in the <br />performance of his duties, and shall also, when necessary as determined by the Director of Law, <br />assist the City Prosecutor. The primary duties of the Assistant Director of Law -Part Time <br />shall be to provide legal assistance to the City's Fair Housing Administrator and Fair <br />Housing Review Board, and to the City's Real Property Maintenance Code Enforcement <br />Program. At least one-half of the time spent by the Assistant Director of Law -Part Time <br />shall be spent on matters relating to the City's Fair Housing Program <br />(c) The elke~ third assistant director of law shall be known as the City Prosecutor. Like <br />the Assistant Director of Law -Part Time, this shall be a part-time position also. The City <br />Prosecutor shall act on behalf of the City or the State of Ohio in the prosecution of felony and <br />misdemeanor offenses occurring in the City of North Olmsted, and shall perform such other <br />duties as are required by law of municipal prosecutors. <br />(d) The Legal Secretary shall be a full-time position and shall provide secretaa~ial <br />services to all of the attorneys in the Law Department <br />lie^. <br />(e) , <br />.One of the Department's three law <br />clerks shall be designated as the Prosecutor's Law Clerk, and the other two law clerks <br />shall be designated as Civil Law Clerks, serving the Director of Law and the Assistant <br />Directors of Law.
