By: Mayor O'Grady A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE APPLICATION OF THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY LIFE SERVICES FOR A FAMILY CAREGIVER SUPPORT PROGRAM GRANT FROM THE WESTERN RESERVE AREA AGENCY ON AGING (WRAA), FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE GRANT AND TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE RECEIPT OF THE GRANT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Director of Community Life Services applied for and has received notice of an award of a One Thousand Dollar ($1,000.00) Family Caregiver Support Program Grant from the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAA); and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to ratify the action of the Director of Community Life Services in applying for said grant, and to authorize the Mayor to accept the grant on behalf of the City and to execute all documents necessary to effectuate receipt or the grant; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the application by the Director of Community Services for a Family Caregiver Support Program Grant from the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAA) is hereby ratified and approved. SECTION 2: That the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to accept the grant in the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) awarded to the City of North Olmsted, and to execute all documents necessary to effectuate receipt of the grant. SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency mea~~ire immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to meet the February 10, 2006, acceptance deadline; and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote oftwo-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
