By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE APPLICATION OF THE <br />DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY LIFE SERVICES FOR A <br />FAMILY CAREGIVER SUPPORT PROGRAM GRANT FROM <br />THE WESTERN RESERVE AREA AGENCY ON AGING <br />(WRAA), FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />ACCEPT THE GRANT AND TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE RECEIPT OF THE GRANT, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Community Life Services applied for and has received notice <br />of an award of a One Thousand Dollar ($1,000.00) Family Caregiver Support Program Grant <br />from the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAA); and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to ratify the action of the Director of <br />Community Life Services in applying for said grant, and to authorize the Mayor to accept the <br />grant on behalf of the City and to execute all documents necessary to effectuate receipt or the <br />grant; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the application by the Director of Community Services for a Family <br />Caregiver Support Program Grant from the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAA) is <br />hereby ratified and approved. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized, on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted, to accept the grant in the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) awarded <br />to the City of North Olmsted, and to execute all documents necessary to effectuate receipt of the <br />grant. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency mea~~ire <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to meet <br />the February 10, 2006, acceptance deadline; and further provided that it receives the affirmative <br />vote oftwo-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
