...~.. ~ r.,~~ ._ _ . . <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006 - 14 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />COMMUNITY LIFE SERVICES TO FILE AN APPLICATION <br />WITH THE NATIONAL COUNCIL ON THE AGING AND THE <br />METLIFE FOUNDATION FOR A GRANT TO INITIATE A <br />"WISDOM WORKS: BUILDING BETTER COMMUNITIES" <br />PROGRAM AT THE NORTH OLMSTED SENIOR CENTER, <br />FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE <br />GRANT, IF AWARDED, AND TO EXECUTE ALL <br />DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE RECEIPT OF <br />THE GRANT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Community Life Services desires to apply for and obtain, on <br />behalf of the City, aTwenty-Five Thousand Dollar ($25,000) grant from the National Council on <br />Aging and the MetLife Foundation to initiate a "Wisdom Works: Building Better Communities" <br />program at the North Olmsted Senior Center; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Community Life <br />Services to apply for said grant, and to further authorize the Mayor to accept the grant, if <br />awarded, on behalf of the City and to execute all documents necessary to effectuate receipt of the <br />grant; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Community Services be and is hereby authorized to file <br />an application, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, for aTwenty-Five Thousand Dollar <br />($25,000) grant from the National Council on Aging and the MetLife Foundation for the purpose <br />of initiating a "Wisdom Works: Building Better Communities" program at the North Olmsted <br />Senior Center. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to accept the grant, if <br />awarded, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted and to execute all documents necessary to <br />effectuate receipt of the grant. <br />
