<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.2006 - 8 <br />BY: Council Member Gareau <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1135.02 OF THE ZONING <br />CODE IN ORDER TO PERMIT LARGER DETACHED ACCESSORY <br />STORAGE BUILDINGS ON ONE FAMIL Y RESIDENCE DISTRICT <br />LOTS THAT ARE ONE ACRE OR GREATER IN SIZE AS <br />AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, Section 1135.02 of the Zoning Code currently places a cap of 200 <br />square feet on the maximum size of the detached accessory storage building permitted on <br />lots in one and two family residence districts in the City; and <br />WHEREAS, from time to time, residential property owners with large lots apply <br />to the Board of Zoning Appeals for variances to construct larger detached accessory <br />storage buildings on such large residential lots; and <br />WHEREAS, larger detached accessory storage buildings on such large residential <br />lots do not pose any harm to the health, welfare or safety of either surrounding neighbors <br />or to the City of North Olmsted generally; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to accordingly amend Section 1135.02 <br />of the Zoning Code in order to create a tiered system for sizes of accessory storage <br />buildings on various sized lots <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning & Design Commission on the ~ day of <br />2006, by formal motion, (recommended -did not recommend) (with <br />suggested changes) that this Ordinance be adopted; and <br />WHEREAS, following publication of newspaper notice in conformance with the <br />provisions of Section 14 of Article IV of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted and <br />Section 1127.03 of the North Olmsted Zoni Code, a public hearing was held on this <br />proposed legislation on the ~ day of , 2006; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 1135.02 of the Zoning Code, which presently reads as <br />follows: <br />
