<br />Ordinance No. 2006-8 <br />Further, no more than two additional recreational vehicles may be parked or stored on a <br />lot, outside of a garage, as follows: <br />(1) Side yard areas. One vehicle may be parked or stored in the side yard area (but <br />not in the side yard area of a corner lot which abuts a street); provided, however, <br />that if the side yard area faces a house which has a first floor window opening to <br />habitable room, then the vehicle may be parked or stored in the side yard area <br />only if the distance from where the vehicle is to be parked or stored to the house <br />is greater than the length of the vehicle; <br />(2) Rear yard areas. Vehicles maybe parked or stored in the rear yard area, provided, <br />however, that a distance no less than five feet to the side lot line and ten feet to <br />the rear lot line shall be maintained between the lot line and the vehicle; and <br />further provided, however, that the combined square footage of the vehicles and <br />all other accessory structures in the rear yard area shall not exceed the limitation <br />provided for in subsection (d)(2) hereof; and further provided, however, with <br />respect to corner lots only, that the vehicles shall not be parked or stored in the <br />setback area for the side of the house which faces the street; <br />(3) Front yard areas. Vehicles may not be parked or stored in the front yard area, <br />except one vehicle upon a driveway and then only for a period of time which does <br />not exceed seventy-two hours within a consecutive twenty-one day period. <br />No recreational vehicle parked or stored on any lot shall be occupied or have wired <br />connections to electricity (except a trickle charger), water, gas or sewer facilities. <br />Further, no storage shall be permitted in or under any recreational vehicle parked or <br />stored on any lot. All recreational vehicles parked or stored on any lot shall be kept in <br />good repair and shall carry the current year's license plate registered to the lega~ <br />occupant. <br />Notwithstanding any other provision of subsection (h) hereof, all legally <br />nonconforming storage of recreational vehicles in the rear yard or side yard shall be <br />removed from the property by no later than May 1, 1999. Further, any rear or side <br />yard storage on an existing improved driveway is permitted provided access to the <br />required minimum of one garaged parking space is not obstructed. <br />(i) Permanent Swimming Pools. Permanent swimming pools maybe located in a One and <br />Two Family Residence District as an accessory use to a dwelling. The pool, accessory <br />buildings, structures or other equipment shall not be located in a required front or side <br />yard and shall be not less than ten feet from any rear yard lot line. The swimming pool <br />area of ground level pools or the entire property on which the pool is located shall be <br />enclosed within a permanent fence of not less than four (4) nor more than six (6) feet in <br />height to prevent any access to the pool except from a controlled point. Lighting fixtures <br />shall be designed and located so as not to cast direct rays of excessive brightness upon <br />adjoining residential lots. Four (4) foot elevated pools shall include a controlled point of <br />an access. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to cause <br />notice of a Public Hearing hereon to be given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of <br />Article IV of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted and Section 1127.03 of the North <br />Olmsted Zoning Code. <br />
