. _. .. 4:~~_, _ ~ _ .~ ~~..~~ <br />;. <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006 -2 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR A ONE YEAR <br />CONTRACT (WITH AN ADDITIONAL AUTOMATIC ONE YEAR <br />EXTENSION) FOR LABORATORY ANALYTICAL SERVICES FOR <br />THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT, AS PER <br />SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE IN HIS OFFICE, AND A UTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF <br />CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAME WITH THE <br />LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the current contract for laboratory analytical services for the <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant expires on March 31, 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, plans and specifications for a new contract for said services required <br />by the City's NPDES Permit have been prepared by the Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />Superintendent and are on file in the office of the Director of Public Service; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public <br />Service to advertise for bids for said new contract in accordance with said plans and <br />specifications, and for the Mayor, upon approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a <br />contract for said laboratory analytical services with the lowest and best bidder; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized <br />to advertise for bids for a contract for laboratory analytical services for the Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant for a one year term with provision for an automatic extension of an <br />additional one year term unless either party provide notice to the other within 120 days of <br />the end of the first one year term, in accordance with the plans and specifications <br />prepared by the Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent and now on file in his office; <br />and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby <br />authorized to enter into a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. <br />
