v ~ ~ t "~; <br />'r <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 77 - -L.~ <br />BY : d./~ <br />AN OR INANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION <br />AND COMPOSITION OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT: <br />SALARIES AND VARIOUS BENEFITS FOR THE MEMBERS <br />OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT: VARIOUS RULES, <br />REGULATIONS AND EMPLOYEE RIGHTS AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: The Organization Chart for the Police Department <br />of the City o North Olmsted shall be as follows: <br />A. The Organizational Chart for the Police Department and <br />the personnel set forth in the Organization Chart shall consist of the <br />Chief of Police who shall be in charge of the entire Police <br />Department. <br />B. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of one (1) <br />secretary, two (2) clerks, and other civilian non-police personnel <br />as are authorized, from time to time, by Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />C. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of the General <br />Duty Uniform Roster, which shall consist of: Two (2) Captains, <br />Three (3) Lieutenants, Four (4) Sergeants, between twenty-eight (28) <br />and thirty-four (34) Patrolmen, twenty-five (25) Auxiliary Police, <br />fourteen (14) School Guards, and one (1) Police Matron, part-time. <br />D. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of a Detective <br />Bureau consisting of Five (5) of the Police Personnel mentioned in <br />Section 1-C above. One (1) member of the Detective Bureau shall <br />serve as the Juvenile Officer of the North Olmsted Police Department. <br />E. The Police Department as constituted herein shall be <br />classified by the Director of Public Safety, as required by law. <br />SECTION 2: That Council does hereby establish salaries for <br />the various members of the Police Department covering the years of <br />1978 and 1979 and the same shall be as follows: <br />A. Effective January 1, 1978, the various salaries shall be <br />fixed as follows: <br />Chief of Police <br />Captains <br />Lieutenants <br />Sergeants <br />Patrolmen - First Year <br />Patrolmen - Second Year <br />Patrolmen - After Second Year <br />School Guards <br />Auxiliary Police $2.15 <br />Police Matron $1.35 <br />Full Time Police Officer Working <br />for the City of North Olmsted <br />during off-duty hours $3,20 <br />Dispatchers (civilian part-time) <br />Dispatchers (civilian full-time) $ <br />$24,884.00 Annually <br />22,013.00 Annually <br />20,012.00 Annually <br />18,193.00 Annually <br />13,848.00 Annually <br />15,129.00 Annually <br />16,539.00 Annually <br />2.50 Per Hour <br />to $ 2.68 Per Hour <br />to $ 2.64 Per Hour <br />to $ 7.00 Per Hour <br />$ 3.00 Per Hour <br />6,500.00 Annually <br />
