~. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />~,~ ORDINANCE N0. 77 - ~~D <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE <br />CLEVELAND ELECTRIC ILLUMINATING COMPANY <br />FOR THE FURNISHING OF STREET LIGHTING <br />AND OTHER ELECTRICAL SERVICES FOR THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Agreement previously entered into with the <br />Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company for the furnishing of <br />street lighting and other electrical services within the City <br />of North Olmsted is due to expire, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to continue said <br />Agreement, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to authorize the Mayor of <br />the City of North Olmsted to enter into an agreement for the <br />providing of the aforesaid services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />to enter into an Agreement with the Cleveland Electric <br />Illuminating Company, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof as though fully rewritten herein, and marked <br />Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation <br />of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further <br />reason that it is immediately necessary by virtue of the fact that <br />street lights and street lighting are needed within the City for <br />pedestrian and vehicular traffic, and further provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED.: ~J~~c.o~ ~~, /9~ <br />ATTEST: <br />Nora T.
