~,~'"~ <br />..,- <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 77- I70 <br />By; Mr. Wilamosky <br />.~ `. <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH <br />THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL <br />EMPLOYEES, ESTABLISHING THE REMUNERATION FOR CERTAIN EM- <br />PLOYEES IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />PUBLIC SERVICE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLSTED, AND REPEALING <br />ORDINANCE N0. 75-198 ENACTED SEPTEMBER 2, 1975, AND DE- <br />CLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City has entered into Memoranda of Understanding with the <br />American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees with respect to <br />the compensation and other conditions of employment of certain employees in <br />the Public Works Division of the Department of Public Service of the City of <br />North Olmsted, said Memoranda being authorized by Ordinance No. 73-115 enacted <br />September 18, 1973 and Ordinance No. 75-198 enacted September 2, 1975; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding <br />provided for and incorporated in Ordinance No. 75-198, discussions have been <br />conducted by the representatives of the City and representatives of the Ameri- <br />can Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees concerning revisions <br />in and a renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding; and <br />WHEREAS, understandings have been reached in the course of said dis- <br />cussions with respect to the compensation and other conditions of employment <br />of the employees aforementioned. <br />NOWy THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Memorandum of Understanding with the American <br />Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, attached hereto and made <br />a part hereof as though fully incorporated herein, is hereby adopted, ratified <br />and approved and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to affix his <br />signature thereto for and on behalf of the City. <br />Section 2. That all other ordinances or resolutions or parts of or- <br />dinances or parts of resolutions inconsistent herewith to the provisions of <br />this ordinance and especially Ordinance No. 75-198, enacted on the 2nd day of <br />September, 1975, are hereby repealed with the effective date of this ordinance <br />to the extent that they pertain to employees in the bargaining unit covered <br />by the Memorandum of Understanding and are inconsistent with this ordinance <br />including the Memorandum of Understanding attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof. <br />Section 3. That the Clerk of Council is hereby instructed to forward <br />a copy of this ordinance to the Director of Public Service and to the Director <br />of Finance in order that the Director of Finance can pay the compensation <br />authorized by this ordinance and the Memorandum of Understanding attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof. <br />
