rotating shifts shall receive a rotating shift premium of five <br />cents ($.05) per hour for all hours worked. <br />(b) Effective July 19, 1978, the night shift premium <br />for the Service Department shall become fifteen cents ($.15) and <br />the rotating shift premium for the Waste Water Treatment Plant shall <br />become ten cents ($.10). <br />WORK BY SUPERVISORS <br />71. Supervisors will not perform bargaining unit work to <br />the extent that results in a lay-off, a reduction in the work <br />force, or reduction of hours of work by bargaining unit employees. <br />Except for emergencies, a supervisor will not perform extended <br />bargaining unit tasks outside of the supervisor's normal working <br />hours to deny overtime opportunities to bargaining unit personnel. <br />CHIPPER ROTATION <br />72. Assignment to the chipper will be rotated among the <br />available, qualified personnel in the Service Department. A list <br />showing such rotation assignments shall be maintained and will <br />be available for inspection by employees. <br />DURATION <br />73. This Memorandum of Understanding shall become effective on <br />the 19th day of July, 1977, and shall continue in full force and <br />- 39- <br />
