. ~~ JCB TITLE: MECHANICS <br />Responsible to: Division Foreman <br />Characteristic duties: Employees in this classification are required <br />to service, repair, overhaul and maintain gasoline and diesel equipment <br />used by the City, such as: automobiles; heavy and light trucks; bull- <br />dozers; tractors, backhoes and other types of on and off the road equip- <br />ment. Work will require some welding, body work and painting but the <br />chief emphasis is on engine and mechanical repair work. <br />Employee will work under general supervision and is responsible for <br />the organization of his work with instructions available from the fore- <br />man for aut of the ordinary problems. <br />E~ployees in this classification will perform other duties as assigned, <br />zrithin the general character of the duties above described. <br /> <br />
