.t r <br />• THE JUSTINIAN PUBLISHING COMPANY . <br />Consulting and Codification <br />CODIFICATION SUPPLEMENT AGREEMENT <br />J~~.y <br />An Agreement dated T1V~'19 , 19 7 7 , between the City of <br />North Olmsted, O. , a municipal corporation (hereinafter called the <br />Municipality), and The Justinian Publishing Company, an Ohio <br />corporation (hereinafter called the Contractor), in consideration of <br />mutually agreed upon promises and conditions set forth herein. <br />A. The Contractor shall integrate into the City Code or Codified <br />Ordinances, or any component code thereof, all ordinances, <br />resolutions and, if desired, rules and regulations of the <br />Municipality of a general and permanent nature enacted subse- <br />quent to the previous inclusion of material, or the date of <br />original publication of such Code, Codified Ordinances or any <br />component code thereof, and in providing such service agrees to: <br />1. Examine and review all ordinances, resolutions, rules and <br />regulations of the Municipality to ascertain material <br />suitable for inclusion. <br />2. Photocopy any selected material when copies for manuscript <br />purposes are unavai]a ble. <br />3. Evaluate all selected material for provisions which appear <br />to be obsolete, repealed specifically or by implication, <br />ambiguous, vague or inapplicable, or in conflict with <br />State law, Federal law, Charter or other ordinance or <br />resolution provisions and Case law, and refer questions on <br />the same to the Solicitor or Law Director or other Municipal <br />official for a decision. <br />4. Edit all legislative material by correcting all spelling, <br />capitalization, grammatical and typographical errors, but <br />the sense, meaning or legal effect of any legislative <br />provision shall not be altered. <br />5. Classify and organize selected material into its proper <br />component code, title, chapter (or article) and section <br />position. <br />6. Prepare proper and descriptive headings for each title, <br />chapter (or article) and section. <br />7. Number all material to conform with the decimal numbering <br />system and code classification. <br />8. Substitute proper code numbers for in-text references <br />to other provisions in the Codified Ordinances so as to <br />conform with the new numbering system. <br />
