... ,.. _... ni. ~-_. _, <br />'wiw" <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />p~ ORDINANCE N0. 77 - ~,ZO <br />BY : ~%~/ l/ <br />A ORDINANCE RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING <br />THE EXPENDITURE OF $3,080.04 FOR <br />EMERGENCY REPAIRS FOR A SERVICE DEPARTMENT <br />1974 DIAMOND REO PACKER TRUCK, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Service Department of t}-~~City of North Olmsted <br />encountered engine problems on one of the City's 1974 Diamond <br />Reo Packer Trucks and after analysis determined that the entire <br />engine had to be rebuilt, and <br />WHEREAS, it was imperative that said Packer Truck be repaired <br />immediately so that the fleet of trucks in the Service Department <br />could be maintained at present levels, and <br />WHEREAS, said truck was repaired on an emergency basis on <br />March 28, 1977 at a cost of Three Thousand and Eighty and 04/100 <br />Dollars ($3,080.04), which price was determined to be reasonable, <br />fair and competitive. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Council does hereby ratify and confirm <br />the expen iture of Three Thousand and Eighty and 04/100 Dollars <br />($3,080.04) for the emergency repair of a 1974 Diamond Reo <br />Packer Truck which is used in the Service Department of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby <br />direct~to pay to Cleveland Diamond Reo Trucks, Inc. the sum of <br />$3,080.04 which represents the entire repair costs for the emergency <br />repairs on the packer truck. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that it <br />is immediately necessary to maintain the City's good credit standing, <br />and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: aZ <br />ATTEST: <br />Nora T.
