c <br />BY: <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />G' AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 163.03 <br />ORDINANCE N0. 77 - //.Z <br />G %~~ <br />OF CHAPTER 163 ENTITLED "DEPARTMENT <br />OF HUMAN RESOURCES" OF THE CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 163.03 of Chapter 163 entitled <br />"Department of Human Resources" of the Codified Ordinances of the <br />City of North Olmsted, which now reads as follows: <br />"Section 163.03 <br /> <br /> <br />Salaries of Director and Employees <br />a. The salary of the Director shall range between $8,000.00 and <br />$15,000.00 per year. The salary, however, shall be specifically set <br />at the time of appointment by the Mayor and confirmation of Council. <br />b. Salary of the Assistant Director shall range between $6,500.00 and <br />$8,500.00 per year. <br />c. The salary of the Secretary shall range between $5,000.00 and <br />$7,500.00 per year. Compensation to be paid to the secretary shall be <br />paid under the Comprehensive Employment Training Act from the date <br />of the adoption of this Ordinance through September 30, 1976." <br />be and the same is~hereby amended and as amended shall read as follows: <br />"Section 163.03 SALARIES OF DIRECTOR AND EMPLOYEES <br />(a) The salary of the Director shall range between $11,000.00 and <br />$18,000.00 per year. The specific salary within the range shall be <br />determined by the Mayor. The salary herein shall be retroactive to <br />January 1, 1977. <br />(b) The Salary of the Assistant Director shall range between $6,500.00 <br />and $8,500.00 per year. <br />(c) The salary of the Secretary shall range between $5,000.00 and <br />$7,500.00 per year." <br /> <br />SECTION 2: That Section 163.03, as previously adopted, and <br />any other Or finance or parts of Ordinances, especially Ordinance <br />No. 75-243 enacted on November 18, 1975, in conflict herewith, be and the <br />same are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is <br />immediately necessary to review all pay scales to bring them into line <br />due to inflation and cost of living increases, and further provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage a approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: a..l~j977 ~ , ~ ~ <br />AT E T: <br />~~~ , <br />Nora T.
