<br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING HOSPITALIZATION
<br />BENEFITS FOR VARIOUS CITY EMPLOYEES EMPLOYED
<br />BY THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING
<br />AN EMERGENCY.
<br />WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of
<br />the City to provide for hospitalization benefits for the various
<br />employees of the City of North Olmsted, and
<br />WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be more practical to include
<br />with respect to hospitalization benefits, as many employees as is
<br />practicable within the scope of one ordinance:
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO:
<br />SECTION 1: That, effective June 22, 1977, all full-time
<br />employees within the Building Department, North Olmsted Municipal
<br />Bus Line, Police Department, Fire Department, Finance Department,
<br />Engineering Department, Public Service and Properties Section of the
<br />Public Works Division of the Department of Public Services, Department
<br />of Human Resources, PBX Operator/Receptionist, Secretary to the Clerk
<br />of Council, Assistant Law Director - Prosecutor (the full-time
<br />requirement for the Prosecuting Attorney is hereby waived), Wastewater
<br />Treatment Facilities, Collection System, and Lift Stations, a Section
<br />of the Public Works Division of the City, as well as the Clerk of
<br />Council, the appointed Directors of the various departments, the
<br />Administrative Assistant, and the full-time-secretaries and clerical
<br />assistants of the various departments shall receive the following
<br />employment benefits:
<br />The City shall pay the full cost of hospitalization for a family
<br />hospitalization plan or the full cost of hospitalization for a single
<br />person's rate, with either Blue Cross - Medical Mutual or Kaiser
<br />Community Health Foundation Plan, the choice of which will be at the
<br />option of the respective employee.
<br />SECTION 2: (A) That the City of North Olmsted shall pay,
<br />effective January 1, 1976, the full amount up to a maximum of $757.44
<br />for the hospitalization insurance cost of the Mayor, Director of
<br />Finance, and the Director of Law of the• City of North Olmsted with
<br />Blue Cross - Medical Mutual or Kaiser Community Health Foundation
<br />Plan, the choice of which will be at the option of the respective
<br />employee.
<br />(B) That effective January 1, 1978 and thereafter, the City of
<br />North Olmsted shall pay the full cost of hospitalization for a family
<br />hospitalization plan with either Blue Cross - Medical Mutual or the
<br />Kaiser Community Health Foundation Plan, the choice of which will be
<br />at the option of the respective employee.
<br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an
<br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the
<br />public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that
