SARINGER <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SERVICE <br />DIRECTOR TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR <br />REPAIRING AND REPLACING CERTAIN SIDE- <br />WALKS WITHIN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, this Council by Resolution No. 76-186 <br />declared it necessary to repair or replace certain sidewalks <br />located throughout the City, and <br />WHEREAS, all of the property owners were advised that <br />they themselves could repair or replace said defective sidewalks <br />(within Thirty (30) days) and if they failed to do so, the same <br />would be repaired or replaced b_y the City, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of_ this Council to solicit <br />bids for the repair or replacement of sidewalks which have not <br />already been repaired or replaced. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLA4STED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Service be and he is <br />hereby authorized to advertise for bids on a unit price basis <br />for the repair or replacement of various sidewalks throughout <br />the City of North Olmsted in accordance with specifications now <br />on file in his office. <br />SECTION 2: That upon approval by the Board of Control, <br />the Mayor is authorized to enter into a contract and execute the <br />same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 3: That this resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation <br />of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further <br />reason that it is immediately necessary to protect the safety and <br />well-being of pedestrians within the City of North Olmsted, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />_ ~~ ~ ~~~ <br />NORA T.
