CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 77 - ~~O <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 911.05 <br />OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ENTITLED "METHOD <br />OF BILLING, PAYMENT" OF CHAPTER 911 <br />ENTITLED "SANITARY SEWERAGE SYSTEM <br />CHARGES" AND REPEALING SECTIONS 911.08, <br />911.09 AND 911.10 OF THE CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />AND DECLARING AN Er.'IERGENCY. <br />NO4V, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That Section 911.05 entitled "Method of Billing, <br />Payment" o Chapter 911 entitled "Sanitary Sewerage System Charges" <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, which now <br />reads as follows: <br />"911.05 T.~ETHOD OF BILLING, PAYP,~ENT. <br />Charges levied with respect to premises served by the Cleveland <br />Waterworks System shall be included in and be payable with the <br />Cleveland water bill to such premises and shall be billed quarterly <br />in accordance with the billing period for the Cleveland water furnished <br />to such premises. In respect of premises not served by the Cleveland <br />Waterworks System, such charges shall be billed by the Director of <br />Public Service and payable quarterly and shall be payable at the same <br />time as Cleveland Water bills are rendered and become payable. Any <br />premises becoming subject to such charges on a date between such <br />quarterly billing periods shall be charged a per diem pro rata amount, <br />based upon the quarter-annual minimum charge from such date until <br />the commencement of the next following billing period applicable to <br />such premises, except that should the measured service exceed the <br />minimum charge, the measured rate shall be charged." <br />shall be amended and as amended shall read as follows: <br />"911.05 METHOD OF BILLING, PAYMENT. <br />The quarterly sewer charges levied at the rates established by <br />this Chapter shall be billed on the first day of February, May, August <br />and November, The City shall establish its. own collection and billing <br />system and the Mayor shall have the authority to enter into an <br />agreement with a public or private billing service to accomplish <br />the establishment of the city's own billing and collection system, <br />provided that any such agreement is ratified and confirmed by the <br />Council of the City of North Olmsted. It is the understanding of <br />Council that in order to accomplish the provisions of this section <br />relating to the establishment of a billing and collection system, that <br />it will be necessary for the Mayor to enter into an agreement for the <br />purchase of information from the City of Cleveland Water Department. <br />The Mayor is further authorized to enter into such agreement for the <br />purpose of purchasing said information. In respect to premises <br />not served by the Cleveland Waterworks System, such charges will be <br />billed through the City of North Olmsted billing system and be payable <br />at the same times as specified herein. Any premises becoming subject <br />to such charges on a time between such quarterly billing periods shall <br />be charged a per diem pro rata amount, based upon the quarter-annual <br />
