CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 77 - ~~O AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 911.05 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ENTITLED "METHOD OF BILLING, PAYMENT" OF CHAPTER 911 ENTITLED "SANITARY SEWERAGE SYSTEM CHARGES" AND REPEALING SECTIONS 911.08, 911.09 AND 911.10 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN Er.'IERGENCY. NO4V, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION l: That Section 911.05 entitled "Method of Billing, Payment" o Chapter 911 entitled "Sanitary Sewerage System Charges" of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, which now reads as follows: "911.05 T.~ETHOD OF BILLING, PAYP,~ENT. Charges levied with respect to premises served by the Cleveland Waterworks System shall be included in and be payable with the Cleveland water bill to such premises and shall be billed quarterly in accordance with the billing period for the Cleveland water furnished to such premises. In respect of premises not served by the Cleveland Waterworks System, such charges shall be billed by the Director of Public Service and payable quarterly and shall be payable at the same time as Cleveland Water bills are rendered and become payable. Any premises becoming subject to such charges on a date between such quarterly billing periods shall be charged a per diem pro rata amount, based upon the quarter-annual minimum charge from such date until the commencement of the next following billing period applicable to such premises, except that should the measured service exceed the minimum charge, the measured rate shall be charged." shall be amended and as amended shall read as follows: "911.05 METHOD OF BILLING, PAYMENT. The quarterly sewer charges levied at the rates established by this Chapter shall be billed on the first day of February, May, August and November, The City shall establish its. own collection and billing system and the Mayor shall have the authority to enter into an agreement with a public or private billing service to accomplish the establishment of the city's own billing and collection system, provided that any such agreement is ratified and confirmed by the Council of the City of North Olmsted. It is the understanding of Council that in order to accomplish the provisions of this section relating to the establishment of a billing and collection system, that it will be necessary for the Mayor to enter into an agreement for the purchase of information from the City of Cleveland Water Department. The Mayor is further authorized to enter into such agreement for the purpose of purchasing said information. In respect to premises not served by the Cleveland Waterworks System, such charges will be billed through the City of North Olmsted billing system and be payable at the same times as specified herein. Any premises becoming subject to such charges on a time between such quarterly billing periods shall be charged a per diem pro rata amount, based upon the quarter-annual
