_ . ... . _ .. . . ....,. ?. <br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 79-178 <br />BY . 24 Cfzjx'»c,h.fE.a <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FORTY-FIVE THOUSAND <br />ONE HUNDRED AND SIX DOLLARS ($45,106.00) FROTI <br />THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING <br />DECEMBER 31, 1979 FOR THE RENOVATION OF AND <br />EQUIPMENT TO BE USED AT THE SENIOR CITIZENS <br />MULTI-PURPOSE CENTER. <br />WHEREAS, This Council has heretofore adopted Ordinance No. <br />79-148 on the 16th day of October, 1979 which authorized the Mayor <br />to enter into an Agreement with the Western Reserve Area Agency on <br />Aging for the purposes of accepting a grant in the amount of <br />Forty-Five Thousand and One Hundred and Six Dollars ($45,106.00) <br />for the purchase of equipment and renovation of the Senior Citizens <br />Multi Purpose Center, and <br />WHEREAS, In order to aualify for said funds it is necessary <br />that said funds be appropriated during fiscal year ending December <br />31, 1979, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to meet the qualif- <br />ications as specified herein. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLTTSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That there is hereby appropriated from the General <br />Fund the amount of Forty-Five Thousand One Hundred and Six Dollars, <br />($45,106.00) which amount will be used for the purchase of equipment <br />and renovation of the Senior Citizens Multi Purpose Center. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council shall immediately forward <br />an attested copy of the Ordinance to the Auditor of Cuyahoga County. <br />SECTION 3: That the City Finance Director is hereby authorized <br />to draw his warrants on the City Treasury for payments from the <br />foregoing appropriation upon receiving proper certificates and vouchers <br />therefor, approved by the Board of Officers authorized by law to <br />approve same, or an Ordinance or Resolution of Council to make the <br />expenditures; provided that no warrants shall be drawn or paid for <br />salaries or wages except to persons employed by authority of and in <br />accordance with law or ordinance. Provided, further that the <br />appropriations for contingencies can only be expended upon approval <br />of two-thirds vote of Council for items of expense constituting a legal <br />obligation against the City and for purposes other than those covered <br />by the other specific appropriations herein made. <br />SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force <br />at the earliest date permitted by Article IV, Section 12, of the Charter <br />of the City of North Olmsted. <br />PASSED : 7 19 z?q _ <br />ATTEST: <br />. <br />orence E.
