CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />ORDINANCE N0. 79-168 <br />BY . 2 'f?t, o-Gs?,u.T. <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />AN AGREEMENT FOR THE INTERCHANGE OF POLICE <br />PERSONNEL, POLICE EQUIPMENT AND THE POLICE <br />SERVICES OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENTS OF THE SIX <br />COMMUNITIES OF BAY VILLAGE, FAIRVIEW PARK, <br />NORTH OLMSTED, ROCKY RIVER, WESTLAKE, AND <br />LAKEWOOD, OHIO, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to <br />enter into and execute an Agreement by and between the Cities of <br />Bay Village, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, Rocky River, Westlake <br />and Lakewood providing for a Mutual Aid Pact between these <br />communities for the interchange of police personnel, ec{uipment and <br />services as permitted by Section 717.02 of the Ohio Revised Code, <br />a copy of which said Agreement is attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof as though fully rewritten herein and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance hereby repeals any ordinances <br />or parts of-ordinances inconsistent herewith. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and further that it is immediately <br />necessary for the purpose of providing mutual aid between the <br />communities for the protection of life and property, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED : 9:: ?x <br />,??Ifed.? <br />ATTEST: <br />F orence E.
