CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 79 - 148 <br />BY. <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DZAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH THE WESTERN RESERVE AREA AGENCY <br />ON AGING FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCEPTING A GRANT IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $45,106.00 WHICH WILL BE USED FOR <br />THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPDIENT AND RENOVATION OF THE <br />SENIOR CITIZENS' MULTI-PURPOSE CENTER, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, The City of North Olmsted has heretofore made application <br />for funding under Title III-B of the Older Americans Act through the <br />Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging, and <br />WHE4EAS, the application for funding has been approved, and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary for this Council to authorize the Mayor <br />to enter into an agreement with the Western Reserve Area Agency on <br />Aging for the purpose of accepting the grant in the amount of $45,106.00. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to sign all necessary documents for the purpose of accepting <br />a grant in the amount of $45,106.00 under Title III-B of the Older <br />Americans Act through the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it <br />is immediately necessary to execute certain documents to facilitate <br />the receipt of the hereinbefore specified grant, and further provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED : Zg ) 1272 <br />ATTEST: <br />??2'. t, I ?t_.I ?.
