<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO, 79-75 <br />BY: /?%t. zt,? <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR <br />OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS <br />FOR PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSUR.ANCE <br />COVERING EMPLOYEES OF THE POLICE FORCE <br />OF THE CTTY OF NORTH---OLMSTED FOR FALSE <br />ARREST INSURANCE; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY :" <br />WHEREAS, the Council and the Administration desire to <br />obtain a policy of liability insurance protecting employees of the <br />Police Department against all causes of action arising out of <br />allegations of false arrest, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council to authorize <br />the Director of Public Service to advertise for liability insurance, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Public Service be and <br />he is hereby authorized to advertise f_or bids for insurance coverage <br />respecting the liability of all employees of the Police Department <br />against all causes of action arising out of allegations of false <br />arrest, according to specifications now on file in his office, and <br />that upon the approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and he <br />is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute same on <br />behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation <br />of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason <br />that the existing insurance coverage expires ori July 29, 1979, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of <br />all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PAS SED : T? 7 9 <br />ATTEST: <br />F orence Camp e, C r o <br />Council <br />APPROVED : 7- 3` 7 J? <br />n?.r.dy <br />Ro ert W.
